Barefoot Jimmy is perfect for fans of country humor, summer nights, and living big with what you’ve got.

My Mother’s Son recounts Mj Branham’s last moments of freedom, and the despair in his Mother’s face as the police raid their home and take him away. This is the last time Mj ever sees his Mother outside of prison. Not being able to attend her funeral was a trans-formative moment in his life. Having paid his debt to society, Mj immerses himself in songwriting, telling his cautionary story through music.

My Mother’s Son was written by Mj Branham and Scott McDaniel.
Mj Branham is a Nashville-based songwriter and performer. His outlaw country style brings a message of redemption that can be felt in his powerful lyrics and his deep baritone voice. Mj’s journey to country music success wasn’t an easy one. He spent time behind bars, but it was through God and Country Music that he found his way back to redemption.

Red Tool Box highlights the physical objects that bring us closer to our nascent memories. Set in a context of mourning and loss, the writer finds solace in memories that are triggered when he cleans out the shop of his recently deceased father and is faced with packing up his tools. Since his childhood, the Red Tool Box represents the strength and hard work and sacrifice of his father.

Following up on his first release “The Call”, Scott McDaniel’s first full-length album presents a series of songs that recounts life’s journey from his early years growing up in the Midwest. Give a listen on Spotify!
